FRAMING FOR ORIGINAL ARTWORK

Basic Framing

Please note in the details for the artwork if they are framed or unframed. Many are unframed. I recommend contacting and supporting your local frame shop so they are able to assist you in finding the right frame for your space and style.

Oil paintings

Basic framing for original oil paintings will include a minimal black wood frame with a simple raised edge. Dimensions are a 2.5" width on each edge (a total of 5" added vertically and horizontally) and a 13/16" depth. 

The artwork will be covered by ~1/4" on each side (a total of 1/2"), so the final dimensions will be 4.5" larger in each dimension than the original artwork (for example a 6"x 8" painting will show about 5.5"x7.5" and have a total size of about 10.5"x12.5").

Watercolors

Basic framing for original watercolor paintings will be the same as for oil paintings, but will also include a white 1.5" mat and UV-protective plexiglass.

I do not currently offer custom framing for prints. However, I recommend contacting and supporting your local frame shop so they are able to assist you.
